Literature Text

Let's go on a pilgrimage
To see that sacred land
A place of blessed eternal
Across the burning sands
Where countenance is given
To those who there demand
Where the gleaming eyes of heaven
Look down on mortal man

There we'll dwell together then
A band of brothers made
From pain and burden laden
That caused our hearts to sway
But never once to falter
Misfortunes come what may
Spirits young will guide us
Though Hell would make us stay

Through the city we will pass
And on those holy steps
Well bend our heads in thoughtful prayer
And offer recompense
With burning sands and trials
A haven for our stay
To thank our God for mercy
Our sins are washed away
Okay, poem that came to me yesterday while eating Japanese food.

I was going to comment once you submitted this but my connection was cut off.

it's very weird that you made this "Pilgrimage" submission at that time, it was on the first couple of days of Muslim Pilgrimage season to Mecca :D

talk about coincidences.
