Literature Text

Come all ye bullies who yearn and crave
For glory, honor and worldly acclaim!
Come join us on the open waves,
And win yourself unending fame!

So sing me hearties, drink up, yo ho!
All risk and danger do we spurn,
If a life of adventure is what you yearn!
Come join our merry band of rouges!

We plunder the rich and give to the poor,
Our aims are noble as our hearts,
And so our voices proudly soar,
Proclaiming our feats both near and far!

So sing me hearties, drink up, yo ho!
All risk and danger do we spurn,
If a life of adventure is what you yearn!
Come join our merry band of rouges!

We roam the seas both far and wide,
Except our seas are open plains,
With swords and pistols at our side,
We blaze a trail of fearsome fame!

So sing me hearties, drink up, yo ho!
All risk and danger do we spurn,
If a life of adventure is what you yearn!
Come join our merry band of rouges!

So sing me hearties, drink up, yo ho!
The life of a rouge is bold and free!
Come join the chorus and sing aloud:
“The life of a pirate is just for me!”

So sing me hearties, drink up, yo ho!
All risk and danger do we spurn,
If a life of adventure is what you yearn!
Come join our merry band of rouges!
Just a random idea for a "pirate theme" I came up with last night, doing nothing in particular. I just found the idea of pirates roaming over the plains to be more entertaining than a regular pirate, and thought I'd write appropriate lyrics. ^^

The image of course is the Jolly Rodger of the pirate "Calico" Jack Rackham.

Also, this song is set to the traditional Irish song "The Gobbyo" or by the name of the song that is also set to it: "Jefferson and Liberty".
