Literature Text

Hear the sweet drawing
Of the picking and clawing
As they go up and down
In their radiance drown
With notes high and sweet
To a wonderful beat
That you cannot deny
As the scales fall and fly
How majestically sounding
Their culling and bounding
Still played by the thread
From masters long dead
On the oaken carved wood
To sound just as good.
As the day it was wrote
In chord and by note
For the magic inspired
By love they desired
As their idle romances
And way-wary glances
Of sorrow and pain
To their voices so plan
Can this expression afford
To not but the Harpsichord?
My favorite instrument of all times is the Harpsichord. I just love the way it sounds. To me, the tones it produces are so much more.... intrinsic than the piano. Not to say the piano is bad, it can convey passion and depth, but there is a certain vibrancy in the Harpsichord that you cannot find in a piano. This is all my opinion of course, so no offense to anybody.
