An English translation of the traditional German Folk Song: Ein Heller und Ein Batzen. I've tried to stay as faithful as possible to the original lyrics while still trying to keep the humour of the song intact. I hope you enjoy.

I decided to change it after so long to the original. Instead of "A Penny and a Quarter" I simply used the original coins "The Heller and the Batzen". I suddenly realized by doing that previously I had been sort of sapping the song of it's original context. To be clear, after all, this is a German song.

Isn't it "Heida" instead of "ha ha"? Hell, why am I even asking; I know it is. I appreciate that you strove to preserve the rhythm and rhymes. It is no easy thing.
