Description
Made this today after reading this article about an Israeli sniper who posted this picture of his sights on a Palestinian child. The article can be found here: [link]
The quote comes from the movie: "The Lion in Winter". The original quote says: "We are the origins of war. Not history's forces, nor the times, nor justice, nor lack of it, nor causes, nor religions, nor ideals, nor kinds of government, nor any other thing. We are the killers. We breed wars. We carry it, like syphilis inside. Dead bodies rot in the fields and streams because living ones are rotten. For the love of God, can't we love one another just a little? That's how peace begins."
I thought it suited it well. If you follow me, you'll know how adamently anti-war I have always been. I've never seen it as the solution, and this one of the reason why. As Martin Luther once said: "War is the greatest plague that can afflict humanity, it destroys religion, it destroys states, it destroys families. Any scourge is preferable to it."

Sadly though war and peace are different sides of the same coin for one cannot exist without the other, for the aftermath of a just war will be a new era of peace and prosperity but soon it becomes corrupted then it ends in another just war during which the corrupted parts are purge away in the fires of war and cycle continues. The best we can do is limit the amount of wars to the point that only the just wars are the ones that are fought
